Austin Air Pet Machine air purifier is equipped with Austin Air Large and Long lasting True HEPA Filter which is standard for all Austin Air 400 series models. True HEPA Filter is a fine particulate filter which has a guaranteed filtration efficiency of 99.97% in trapping from the air all sub0micton airborne contaminants down to 0.3 micron in size and therefore, provides a superior level of protection from pet allergens such: dog and cat dander, bird feather dust, reptile skin flakes along with all other other solid airborne allergens and airborne contaminants.

Large Filter Canister with Specialty Adsorbent

To provide effective removal of pet odors produced by secretions from oil glands in the pet skin, the urine odors from 'scent marks' and protein from saliva, Austin Air Pet Machine employs large carbon canister filter containing a substantial amount - 15 lbs. of Austin Air Specialty enhanced adsorbent. It contains a blend of activated granulated carbon from coconut shell with special additives - Potassium iodide and zeolite.

Important Notice!
Austin Air Pet Machine's main filter represents a fusion of HEPA and carbon canister filters into one-piece filter assembly. Therefore, the whole filter assembly has to be replaced when either True HEPA or Activated carbon filter gets full and needs replacement. The Austin Air's 5-year pro-rated warranty on the filter assembly helps users to offset the cost of replacement filters and promotes a worry-free ownership of Austin Air Pet Machine air purifier.

PermaFilt Polyester Pre-filter

The standard Austin Air Polyester PermaFilt pre-filter forms the first stage of the Austin Air Pet Machine air filtration system. Located right behind the perforated metal grill of air purifier's polluted air intake, non woven pre-filter stops all large dust and dirt particles along with lint and hair and hence, protects fine True HEPA filter from quick contamination and helps extend its lifespan.
The PermaFilt pre-filter is available in two colors:

• Black for units in Black and Midnight Blue colors
• White for units in Sandstone and White colors

The pre-filter can be easily vacuumed from dust and dirt right through the perforated metal grill of a polluted air intake and quickly and easily replaced at a minimal cost when gets ruined or dirty.
The Free Pre-filter of a matching color is included with each new filter assembly.

The 3-Speed fan control helps easily find the optimal fan speed setting for any particular operating condition or indoor activity.
The motor is mounted on shock absorbers, which isolate the motor from the housing and help substantially reduce associated with it noise and vibration.
